However, unforgettable change came upon me when I met my first English teacher, Joe Mcdonald. He had curly hair and dimples like a seven-year old boy. He named me Amanda. Joe was such a devoted and humorous teacher who taught me the excitement of learning English. He cared and understood the characteristics of each student, and varied his attitude and methods to cater to what’s best for us. One day, he asked me to take the responsibility of the Show-and-Tell event held every other Thursday. Hearing what he told me, I was sure that I would mess up the whole show since I lacked confidence to stand in front of other people. I couldn’t quell the overwhelming pressure on me. However, I couldn’t let go of the opportunity because I sincerely wanted to make Joe happy. To prepare the show successfully, I tried and prepared all things needed to be done asking for help from mom and others around me. However I couldn’t relieve anxiety.
